Vale David Robinson

With regret we advise that long time industry member David Robinson passed away on 11th August, aged 81.
David worked with Musical Merchandisers for over 20 years as a Victorian Sales Rep (retiring in 2008). He was part of an elite group having served the industry for a period of over 50 years. He commenced work in the music products infudtry in 1960 as a wholesale representative for Allans Music wholesale and saw many years of significant change at that company including the merger with Brashs and aer 24 years there left to go into retail for a few years until he commenced with Musical Merchandisers in 1984.
David retired in 2008. He still played saxophone in his dixieland jazz band until his passing.
David attended the Melbourne guitar show last weekend to say hello to some old friends.
All at Musical Merchandisers are deeply saddened by his passing, as will be his many friends and colleagues in the industry.
Dave was a true gentleman of our industry, always immaculately dressed in his trademark navy blazer, and was loved and respected by all his customers, peers and friends.
