The association was sad to hear of the recent passing of Australian industry pioneer, Gary Nessel, aged 68. Many members of the association had close ties with Gary, particularly through his iconic amplifier brand, Strauss. There is a beautiful tribute to his role in the music products industry written by his colleague and friend, ACETA Chairman, Frank Hinton. It also provides an interesting historical background on the evolution of instrument amplification in Australia.
