The AMA runs or supports a number of programs to help bring the joy of making music to Australians.

Musical Futures

Under a memorandum of understanding from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, the AMA is the authorised body for Musical Futures in Australia.  Professional development is provided by Soundhouse.  Musical Futures is an approach to teaching and learning. It is a new way of thinking about music making in schools that bring non-formal teaching and informal learning approaches into the more formal context of schools.  For more information contact Ken Owen at Soundhouse.

Weekend Warriors

A come back to the band program for baby boomers.  The AMA holds the licence for Australia from NAMM in the US.  For more information check out the Weekend Warriors website.

Music.Play for Life

The AMA provides funding for the Music Council of Australia's Music.Play for Life campaign, which believes that more Australians should be making music in schools, communities, everywhere.  Check out the website and the vast array of programs Music.Play for Life offers and don't forget to sign up for their free newsletter.
