Q. I am buying a new system but don’t want to get caught buying something that may become redundant. What should I buy?

A. Please refer to the document ‘Wireless Audio Devices and the Digital Dividend’. The last couple of paragraphs refer to your issue. The Govt still has to do more work on this and until that is completed – late this year early next there is no guaranteed position.

The best advice is buy a product with a frequency below 694MHz and with as much spectral agility (40MHz or better is ideal) as you can afford. Rule of thumb: the more spectral agility the higher the price.
